Early Christmas!!

Kevin left on Friday afternoon for Wyoming for the month of December. The kids and I are flying out to Idaho on the 17th of December. Since we don't want to try and transport Christmas presents and such through airlines we decided to open Christmas presents from Kevin's parents early.

Grandma and Grandpa Ross gave each of the kids a new bike for Christmas. Kevin tied string all over the house on Thursday night and led the kids on a scavenger hunt to their bikes. They were so excited to find their treasure. Yes, a little unconventional to open presents early but it was a great activity to spend as a family before we have to spend time apart.

Thank you Mom and Dad Ross for the presents. We loved them all!!!

Grosse Pointe Thanksgiving Parade

The day after Thanksgiving is always a fun time in our neighborhood. We live a half block away from what is called "The Grosse Pointe Village". It is a small shopping strip. It is the main little hub for the Grosse Pointe area. Every year they have the Thanksgiving Parade go through the village.

Kaylee is part of Daisy Girl Scouts and they got to march in the parade. The theme was "Yes to Michigan". Each girl was supposed to decorate poster board with Michigan things and wear it in the parade.

While we were waiting for the parade a lady passed out Space Chimp masks. Kambria looked so funny with hers on.

Kolbi was such a trooper. She got all bundled up and was still smiling. She slept through the whole parade, even the fire engines and their sirens. She woke up on the way home and just smiled like she had just had the best nap ever. WHAT A GREAT BABY!!!!

THANKSGIVING FEAST!!!

GETTING READY TO FEAST!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Kevin prepared a wonderful feast for all of us. We invited three families, two sets of missionaries and our friend Brian (his wife and son were in Missouri) over. It was so much fun!

Some of the kids got their own little table to pig out on.

I want to send kudos to my wonderful husband. He made the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, carrot casserole, two pumpkin pies and crescent rolls. He looked like the Energizer Bunny running all over. Everything was absolutely delicious and was all ready right on time!! He made it all look so easy too!! THANK YOU KEVIN!!!!! We all love you so much!

After filling our bellies we all lounged around for some great conversation. Thank you to everyone who came and brought yummy food with them!! I am truly thankful for my fun little family and for the wonderful blessings our Heavenly Father has given me!!!

Interview Season

It is so hard to believe that we are getting close to the goal we have been working so hard for. GRADUATION! But first is the interview season for residency spots. Kolbi and I were fortunate enough to go with Kevin to two residency interviews. The first one was in Pocatello, Idaho and then we went on to Phoenix, Arizona.

We owe a HUGE THANK YOU to our friends Brian and Bethany and their little boy Cayden. Bethany and Cayden came over and stayed with the three older kids while we were gone. Bethany got to be mom of four for 5 days.

This is an example of what happens when Mom and Dad leave town...everyone goes hair crazy!! This is a funny picture Bethany took while we were gone. The kids had a really good time and we were thankful for such great friends to help us out!!

Kevin will be gone for the month of December in Wyoming. While there he will have two more interviews. Then January will bring even more interviews. It will be interesting to see where we will end up. March will be the magic month of truth. :) We will keep you all posted.
